Proper Kettlebell Grip

Grip it and rip it, so the saying goes. But let’s not get too hasty. Kettlebells are a great training medium, but if used improperly they can be both ineffective and dangerous.

One of the most common flaws I see in kettlebell lifters is their grips. A limp, weak, or open grip with a kicked-back wrist just doesn’t cut the mustard. You have to grip it like you mean it. Always keep a strong, firm wrist and grip the kettlebell so that it becomes an extension of your arm.
